NEW DELHI : Upset over the Prime Minister's remarks that the Bharatiya Janata Party had no issues and its top two leaders, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L.K. Advani had differences, the BJP general secretary Arun Jaitley has criticised the Manmohan Singh Government for trying to ``divert people's attention from Government's failures.'' The Prime Minister, Mr. Jaitley said here on Thursday, was far removed from reality and had become a victim of his own propaganda on the work done by his government. He found fault with the UPA for its failure to tackle the agrarian crisis, the internal security issue, rising prices and the differences within the United Progressive Alliance coalition partners and between the UPA and the Left on economic policy. As for his references to differences between Mr. Vajpayee and Mr. Advani, Mr. Jaitley said that there was no other example in any political party of two leaders working so closely with each other for five decades. The situation of farmers was worse than it had been for several decades and the Government has been unable to do anything to deal with the crisis. The internal security was worsening with terrorism having adopted many different forms. While the UPA had talked about restoring normality to Kashmir, far from this it had neither a strategy to fight terrorism nor a road map for peace.
