BANGALORE: Doddamani Dasharath, Janata Dal (Secular) general secretary and a former police officer, has said that the investigation into the Nikhil Gowda case (son of Chief Minister, H.D. Kumaraswamy) is expected to expose the role of a senior Congress politician, who had attempted to tarnish the image of the former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda and Mr. Kumaraswamy. In a statement here on Thursday, Mr. Dasharath said the investigation would result in the case taking a political turn. "It is a case of some conspirators venturing into the official residence of the Chief Minister to lure his son. Such a high level conspiracy has never been heard of before." Mr. Dashrath was an Assistant Commissioner of Police in the city and took a voluntary retirement.
