DUBAI: Give the tie-breaker to John McEnroe. The seven-time Grand Slam winner beat Bjorn Borg 4-6, 6-4, 10-4 in an exhibition match on Thursday, billed as the final showdown between two of tennis's greatest adversaries, and giving the American the last say in their rivalry. The two faced each other 14 times on the ATP Tour, Davis Cup and Grand Slam play, each winning seven times. In a vintage performance before a capacity crowd , the 47-year-old McEnroe threw himself around, produced some vintage cross-court shots and for the sake of theatrics smashed his racquet on the court and argued with the umpire. Borg, three years older than McEnroe and winner of 11 Grand Slam titles, matched McEnroe stroke for stroke, before the fitter American prevailed. AP
