SCR pensioners asked to submit life certificates

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The South Central Railway has asked all pensioners/family pensioners and ex-gratia payees drawing pension from banks, post offices and treasuries to submit `life certificates' along with non-employment, re-employment and non-marriage/re-marriage certificates in November and December.

A press release said the pro-forma was available with the respective banks/post offices and that all bank managements were authorised to issue such certificates.

In case a pensioner could not attend in person on account of serious illness or incapacitation, intimation to this effect with medical certificate may be sent to the respective bank or post office to enable nomination of an officer to visit the pensioner at his/her residence to record the certificate.

More information may be had from the respective railway accounts offices or banks concerned, the release said.
