Surrendered militant shot dead

Srinagar: Militants shot dead a surrendered insurgent and abducted a villager in separate incidents, while security forces recovered seven kg of RDX in Jammu and Kashmir since Thursday night, a police spokesman said on Friday.

Surrendered Hizb-ul Mujahideen militant Bilal Parray alias Bilwahab, a resident of Kamad, was shot dead by unidentified persons at Bumthan in Qazigund area of Anantnag district, the spokesman said.

Militants abducted Farooq Ahmad Lohar from his house at Dooniwari in Kupwara district on Thursday. He was taken to an unknown destination. — PTI
