Army captain from city shot dead in Assam

HYDERABAD: An Army captain from the city was shot dead by a hawaldar at Nuntumkuki in Assam on Friday.

The slain Captain was identified as S.J.R Chowdhary. Chowdhary and subedar Ranjit Mamon were killed by hawaldar Avdesh Sharma following an argument over a trivial issue.

Later, Sharma reportedly shot himself with the same weapon. The Captain's marriage was planned on December 7 this year.
