JAIPUR: Rajasthan Industries Minister Narpat Singh Rajvi inaugurated the web portal of Rajasthan Foundation at Yojana Bhavan here over the weekend to help Non-Resident Rajasthanis (NRRs) connect with their motherland and facilitate their contribution to the development of the desert State. The website http://www.rajasthanfoundation.org provides detailed information about the Foundation's 10 chapters functioning in India, Britain and the U.S., besides containing a large photo gallery and a news update section. It also has provision for downloading newsletters, compendium, brochure, Hindi calendar and wallpapers. A special feature of the web portal is a message board where the NRRs can log on to send details of their personal programmes and itineraries and express interest in making investments in various sectors. The information uploaded at the website includes that on adopt a monument, adopt a school and midday meal schemes and tourism, hotel and information technology policies. Mr. Rajvi said the launch of the web portal was a commendable initiative that would be very useful for the Rajasthanis settled in foreign countries. Among those present on the occasion were the Commissioner of Rajasthan Foundation, Meera Maharishi; Principal Secretary (Information Technology) C.K. Mathew; Principal Secretary (Industries) Ashok Sampatram; and Director (Information Technology) Dinesh.
