VIJAYAWADA: Archbishop of Hyderabad Marampudi Joji on Saturday wanted the print and electronic media to highlight civic issues and help the Government chalk out people-friendly policies. Fr. Joji inaugurated the renovated premises of Bombay Studio on Nirmala Convent road here. He said that media was playing a significant role in drawing the attention of the Government on public problems. Recalling the 1977 cyclone that affected Diviseema area, Fr. Joji said that many newspapers of national and international repute reported the calamity with photographs. Service organisations from across the world reacted to the reports and helped revival of Diviseema, he said. Bishop of Vijayawada Mallavarapu Prakash, former MP Chennupati Vidya, senior photographer K. Ahobala Rao was present.
