KOZHIKODE: A Children's Parliament would be organised by the Kudumbasree District Mission here on Sunday. Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, the children who were going to be the "Prime Minister, leader of the Opposition, Home Minister, Finance Minister and Speaker at the Children's Parliament' said that the programme would be inaugurated by Mayor M. Bhaskaran at 10 a.m. at the Collectorate conference hall here. The Children Parliament will begin with the address by the `President' at 11.45 a.m. followed by swearing in ceremony of members. A reference to condole the death of Bahujan Samaj Party leader Kanshiram, question hour and urgent resolution would follow the `President's address'. This would be followed by members calling attention on topics including `Deficiency of nutrients in children,' `Lack of safety of school buildings,' `Students travel problems,' `Rehabilitation of children in the context of Act to prevent Child Labour'. A report of the Central team on epidemics in Kerala would be tabled in `Parliament'. Children's Prime Minister C.Gayathri, leader of the Opposition Aiswarya Babu, Speaker Drisya Babu, Home Minister P. Jithin Das and Finance Minister Chintu Thomas confidently fielded questions from journalists.
