COLOMBO:
At least two sailors of the Sri Lanka Navy were killed in an alleged claymore attack by LTTE cadres near the 6th Mile Post along the Nilaveli-Trincomalee road on Saturday. The military accused the LTTE of launching a mortar attack at the security forces Forward Defence Line (FDL) at Muhamalai in the Northern Province on Friday evening. "The troops repulsed that attack effectively and brought the situation under control. Two soldiers were injured," it said.
