ADILABAD: The slumping price of cotton, which was likely to push farmers to stage an agitation, was arrested due to the intervention of Joint Collector A. Dinakar Babu and Adilabad RDO P. Rajaram on Saturday. During last two days, the price of grade A cotton came down at Adilabad market from Rs. 2,031 to Rs. 1,981 per quintal . They met the Joint Collector and urged him to intervene . On his instructions Mr. Rajaram talked to the traders who agreed to purchase the produce at Rs. 2,001 per quintal.
