NEW DELHI: Apoorv Damodaran struck two goals to power Uttaranchal Heroes to a 2-0 victory over State Bank of India in a group `II' match of the DSA `A' division football league match at the Nehru Stadium ground here on Saturday. The strikes by Apoorv in the 19th and 44th minutes helped Uttaranchal Heroes complete its engagements with 12 points from seven matches. In another match in the same group, Nivia Sports Club upset Uttarakhand 2-1 as Rashid scored two goals. Vivek Sharma scored the only goal for the loser. In group `I', Royal Rangers beat Rohini Club 3-0 thanks to the goals by Ricky (2) and Monu Chaudhary. In group `III', Young Boys Club raced to a 4-0 win over Veterans Club, following the goals by Gouminlon (2), P. Minthong and P. Moun. — Special Correspondent
