Kochi: The Government will take action against police officers responsible for the route change of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's motorcade during his recent visit to Thiruvananthapuram only after receiving the inquiry report of the Chief Secretary, Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said on Saturday. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a function at the Kerala High Court here, the Minister said he was awaiting the report of the Chief Secretary on the issue and only after going through it, any decision on action against officials would be taken. Action cannot be taken solely on the basis of the report by Additional Director General of Police Jacob Punnose, he said. However, the Minister refused to divulge any details. PTI
