Vishnu Sahasranama recitation competition

NEW DELHI: Sri Vishnu Sahasranamam Satsangam, R.K.Puram, will conduct a Vishnu Sahasranama recitation competition for school children on November 19 at Devi Kamakshi Mandir, opposite JNU, on Aruna Asif Ali Road here. Children studying in schools other than DTEA/Andhra schools can participate in the competition.

NEW DELHI: The Urdu Promotion Committee of Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti and the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) Education Department jointly organised an Id Milan celebration at NDMC headquarters here on Saturday. Urdu Promotion Committee chairperson Fozia Khan highlighted the religious importance of Id Milan. Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti general secretary Vijay Gaur appreciated the outstanding services of Mansoor Alam, Nodal Officer (Urdu) of the Council, in the field of Urdu promotion.

Water supply at

low pressure

NEW DELHI: To facilitate replacement of pipes, water supply will be available at low pressure on Monday evening and Tuesday morning in Model Town, Shalimar Bagh, Ashok Vihar, Lawrence Road, Shakur Basti and Punjabi Bagh.

Water supply will be available at low pressure in Jagatpur, Mukerji Nagar, Hakikat Nagar, Azadpur and Jahangirpuri on Tuesday evening.

Water tankers will be available on telephone No. 27677877 (Kewal Park Water Emergency) and 25221181 (Punjabi Bagh Water Emergency).

NEW DELHI: Khushii, a Delhi-based non-government organisation that works for the uplift of the marginalised sections of society, will organise a fund-raising event called "Khushii-India On Canvas" at 10-A Prithviraj Road here on November 10.

"Be wary of chronic low blood pressure"

NEW DELHI: "There is nothing like chronic low blood pressure," said Dr. K.K. Aggarwal, president of the Heart Care Foundation of India, at a doctors' meeting here on Saturday. Explaining that a person can have acute low blood pressure due to vomiting, dehydration or diarrhoea, Dr. Aggarwal said in such situations the patient's urine output would be lower than normal. "A pulse rate of less than 60 or more than 100 is abnormal and calls for doctor's consultations."
