CHENNAI: The Prime Minister of Belgium, Guy Verhofstadt, called on Tamil Nadu Governor Surjit Singh Barnala at Raj Bhavan on Saturday. He was accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Didier Reynders, and other delegates. The Governor hosted a dinner in honour of the visiting Prime Minister. K. Venkatapathy, Union Minister of State for Law and Justice; Arcot N. Veerasamy, Minister for Electricity; N. Selvaraj, Minister for Forests; Ajit Prakash Shah, Chief Justice of the Madras High Court; Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali, Prince of Arcot; L.K. Tripathy, Chief Secretary; C.K. Gariyali, Principal Secretary to the Governor; D. Mukherjee, Director-General of Police; Letika Saran, Commissioner of Police; and other dignitaries were present. Earlier, the South Zone Cultural Centre organised a music concert by mandolin U.P. Raju and Nagamani party, according to a release.
