HYDERABAD : The Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Saturday night took into custody Kachiguda police Sub-Inspector C. Ramesh Goud and constable K.C. Babu on charge of receiving Rs. 15,000 bribe from a businessman against who a non-bailable warrant was issued in a cheque bounce case.

Assault case

A home guard Yadagiri, has allegedly beaten up a person Asad Ahmed resulting in bleeding injuries to the latter after an altercation over payment of fine for not wearing helmet . Two cases were were registered against Yadagiri and Ahmed respectively.

Life convict escapes

A life convict Injanna, 37, escaped from Cherlapally open jail on Friday evening. Injanna was serving life term for murder case in 1999.
