BANGALORE: A group of people, alleged to be fans of actor V. Ravichandran, ransacked the office of Kannada film producers Ganesh and Praveen in Gandhinagar on Saturday. The police said that at 11 a.m. around 100 people, who came in a procession, hurled stones at the producers' office, damaging the window panes. Later, they allegedly barged into the office and ransacked it. Mr. Ganesh has lodged a complaint with the Upparpet police that Guruprasad, president of the Ravichandran Fans' Association, led the miscreants. The Upparpet police have registered a case. It is said that during the shooting of the film "Ugadi," in Ooty recently, the two producers had "humiliated" Ravichandran, who plays the lead role in the yet to be released movie. Meanwhile, members of the Karunadamalla Ravichandran Abhimanigala Sangha staged a demonstration in front of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce here on Friday demanding action against the two producers.
Arrested
The Madivala sub-division police have arrested three persons who allegedly murdered a real estate agent C.R. Sidde Gowda in Madivala police station limits on September 17. The police gave the names of the arrested as G. Chandra (26) of Channakeshavanagar on Hosur Road, V.S. Kumar (32) of Channapatna taluk in Bangalore Rural district and Ramesh (24) of Rajagopalanagar. There are several criminal cases against the three, the police said. The police have seized a multi-utility vehicle and a mobile phone from them. On the instruction of Devaraj alias Dobiraja of Vijayanagar, who was arrested earlier, the three had hacked Sidde Gowda (47) to death, the police said.
