Cheaper Trade Fair tickets at Metro stations

Staff Reporter

Dwarka-Barakhamba Line to be extended up to Indraprastha

NEW DELHI: To promote the use of the Delhi Metro for to and fro travel from Pragati Maidan during the fortnight-long India International Trade Fair, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation will be selling Trade Fair tickets at all Metro stations during the fair at Rs.5 less than the prevailing rate.

Stating that a saving of Rs.5 on every ticket is expected to bring more people by the Metro and thereby decongest the traffic on the roads near the venue, DMRC said during weekdays the tickets for the fair at Pragati Maidan are priced at Rs.25 for adults and Rs.15 for children while during weekends and holidays they are sold for Rs.50 and Rs.25 respectively.

For facilitating the movement of passengers to the Trade Fair, DMRC will be extending the Dwarka -- Barakhamba Line up to Indraprastha with a station at Pragati Maidan before the start of the trade fair. The India International Trade Fair will be held from November 14 to November 27.
