Woman killed in accident

Thiruvananthapuram: A 65-year-old woman was killed when the scooter on which she was riding pillion rammed the rear of a public transport bus at Kowdiar on Sunday afternoon. The police identified the deceased as Saraswathy Amma, a resident of Green Dale in Nemom police station limits. Her daughter Sudha Nair, who was riding the scooter, has been admitted to the Medical College Hospital.

Two injured

Two persons were injured when they were struck by lighting at Chirayankeezhu on Sunday afternoon. The police identified the injured as David Lal, 27, and Ernest, 60. Both have been admitted to the Medical College Hospital with serious burns.
