Teacher training programme in autism

CHENNAI: Sankalp, a learning centre for children, will organise a teacher-training programme in autism beginning November 8.

`Understanding and interventional strategies in autism' is a foundation course for those wishing to teach children with autism spectrum disorder.

The course, open to graduates, will run till December 21.

It will be taught by special educators.

Participants will learn interventional strategies to help autistic children, whose social and communication skills are impaired.

Practical sessions are also included.

The centre is located at Q-9, 6th avenue, Anna Nagar West.
