SBBJ plans additional branch in Coimbatore
COIMBATORE
: The State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur (SBBJ) plans to open one more branch in Coimbatore and Tirupur this year. In a release from its Chief General Manager, M. Ramasamy, the bank proposes a regional office in Chennai. Of its 834 branches, 13 are in South India four in Andhra Pradesh, three in Karnataka, five in Tamil Nadu and one in Kerala. "We have planned a business growth of Rs. 500 crore from these branches for 2006-07," Mr. Ramasamy said. The thrust would be on personal segment lending, trade finance and providing finance to small and medium-scale units and agriculture.
