Aid for family of workers

Kochi: The architecture magazine, Designer + Builder, has decided to give financial support to the families of ten construction workers who had died or were seriously injured while on duty. The gesture is part of the third anniversary celebrations of the magazine. The dependants of those who suffered such tragedies after January 1, 2001 will be considered for the support. Each family will be given Rs.10,000. The financial aid will be distributed at the anniversary function, titled `Sthapatheeyam-2006.' An all-Kerala Construction Directory, will also be released. The application forms can be had from the office of the magazine at Manikkoth Court, Dewan's Road.
