The long wait will finally be over for those looking forward to the much-anticipated premiere of the Asian edition of the four-time Emmy Award-winning reality competition series, "The Amazing Race". All set to hit television screens this Thursday on AXN channel, the "Amazing Race Asia" will be fast paced and intense. With thrills and drama to keep viewers at the edge of their seats, the series will feature daring scenes of car chases and taxi races for the viewers. The biggest AXN original production to date, "The Amazing Race Asia" has a definite Asian feel and approach. Even the show's theme song has been re-arranged with Asian musical instruments. And this adds a new twist to the familiar tune. From models to couples, brothers to best friends, there will be an intense no-holds-barred scramble to the finishing tarmac. Contestants will have to put their best foot forward as the winning team walks away with $100,000 prize money. Promising to be highly riveting, the adrenaline-pumped reality series will see Indian contestants Prashant Sachdev and Sahil Shroff, who are both models. From the catwalk runway in the fashion Capital of Mumbai, these close friends have not been labelled "Bollywood hunks" for nothing. The duo is as serious about roughing it out and giving it all they have got on the challenges in the race as they are about their modelling careers. Although Prashant and Sahil haven't seen many episodes of "The Amazing Race", the duo is confident that this would not prove to be a disadvantage as their compatibility and mutual understanding will set them apart from the rest. -- Madhur Tankha
