NEW DELHI: The Election Commission of India on Tuesday fixed December 4 for the byelections in Karimnagar and Bobbili Lok Sabha constituencies in Andhra Pradesh. The Karimnagar seat has been vacated by TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao following differences with the UPA over the Telangana issue. The Bobbili seat has fallen vacant following the death of sitting TDP member Pydithalli Naidu, according to PTI. Mr. Rao, who had quit as Union Labour Minister sometime ago, had already announced that he would contest from the seat and that the bypoll would be a `referendum' on the Telangana issue. He had challenged the Congress to face the electoral battle.
