HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam Party on Tuesday reiterated its demand, asking Chief Whip N. Kiran Kumar Reddy to return 835 square yards in Banjara Hills, around which he had constructed a compound wall. At a press conference, TDP general secretary K. Srihari and senior leaders S. Chandramohan Reddy and K. Vijayarama Rao wondered how a legislator could become member of two societies---Vijaya Cooperative Housing Society and Sri Venkateswara Housing Society- and get himself two pieces of land. Mr. Srihari alleged that be it the State Capital or its environs, or important cities in the State, Congress leaders were "grabbing" whatever land struck their fancy. It was a pity that the Government was not taking cognisance of media reports and initiating action against land-grabbers. Mr. Reddy quipped that the Congress Government could probably get a legislation passed, saying any Congress leader could grab any piece of land anywhere in the State.
