ANANTAPUR: A TDP activist, H. Sannappaiah (55), was allegedly hacked to death by his political rivals in Kogira village of Roddam mandal on Monday. His body was found in his field on Tuesday. In a police complaint, the son of the deceased, Anjaneyulu, alleged that his father and himself had campaigned for TDP candidates in the local body elections. Their political rivals had planned to kill him but his father had gone to guard the field on Monday and was killed. He suspected Srinivasulu, Ganganna and Narasimhulu of the Congress to be behind the murder of his father. A police picket has been posted in the village.
