ANANTAPUR: Trial in the conspiracy case of `attempt to blast house' of TDP leader late Paritala Ravindra here in 2000, commenced in the Assistant Sessions Court here on Tuesday. Accused G. Suryanarayana Reddy alias Suri was produced in the court. Judge Nageswara Rao heard fourth witness Prasad and the case was postponed to November 16. Meanwhile, Suri and Moddu Sreenu were produced in Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate's court in the Tagarakunta Prabhakar murder case. Judge Moses adjourned the case to November 21.

Meanwhile, in a murder case of July 2000, in which TDP activist Laxminarayana Reddy of Dimmagudi village of Pedda Vaduguru mandal was done to death, Senior Civil Judge of Gooty Srinivasa Murthy sentenced Gooty Market Committee Chairman and Congress leader Adi Reddy to three years rigorous imprisonment . Two other convicts in the case were fined Rs. 3,500 each and another three were fined Rs. 500 each. Another six accused in the case were acquitted. In yet another case in Gooty, Judicial First Class Magistrate recommended the Gooty police for a reward of Rs. 50,000 for nabbing matka operator Nagender Reddy. The police arrested the matka operator and recovered Rs. 1.44 lakhs cash from him. The matka operator was handed over to 15 days judicial custody.
