Loss
Mr. Agarwal said most of the petitions pertained to loss of livelihood. It was too early to comment on what course the investigation would take once the report was submitted. He had spoken to all petitioners and visited the places affected by violence, he said. On the reported police excesses, Mr. Agarwal said that he had received a few petitions in this regard. The petitioners had also commended the police for their steps to bring the situation under control. Deputy Commissioner M. Maheshwara Rao and Superintendent of Police B. Dayananda were present.
