Power shutdown

CHENNAI: Power supply will be suspended in parts of Ambattur at Chinna Colony and Periya Colony, P.K.M. Road, Nagaswara Rao Road, Munusamy Street and parts of Vanagaram Road on Thursday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., for maintenance.

Eye camp

The Mylapore Academy, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Mylapore and Rotary Club of Madras Mylapore and T.S. Duraiswamy Eye Hospital is conducting an eye camp on November 12 at 9 a.m. at the Sringeri Pravachana Mandiram Hall in Rajah Annamalaipuram.

Cataract camp

The Gremaltes Hospital, with the support of HelpAge India, is organising a free cataract screening camp for senior citizens on Saturday from 8.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. at Padmasri Sarojini Varadappan Magalir Sangam, 8/4, P.P. Thotham, Aminjikarai. Free cataract surgeries with IOL implant will be done at the Hospital. For details, call 2644 3411.

Admissions in universities abroad

Faculty and staff from four universities will visit Mancomp Professional Services in November to interview students for admission. Members from Aston University, United Kingdom will visit on November 10, Swiss Hotel Management School, Geneva on November 20, Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Australia on November 21 and PSB Academy, Singapore on November 22. Children's Day celebrations

Anna Nagar `A' Block Ladies Association will conduct a musical-cum-games evening for children between five and 15 years of age as part of Children's Day celebrations on Saturday from 5 p.m. Students, who want to participate in the programmes. Call Prema Kumari over 2620 3516.

Training programme
