HYDERABAD: Speakers at a meeting here on Monday organised as part of a `National Campaign on Right to Food' lamented the poor implementation of several Supreme Court guidelines on running the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) and ensure nutritious food for underprivileged children at Anganwadi Centres (AWCs). The campaign's chairperson and Magsaysay award winner, Shantha Sinha of M.V. Foundation (MVF), who presided, said it was time the community, officials and non-Government agencies (NGO) pulled up their socks in the endeavour to see that no child up to the age of six was under-nourished. "The results of the survey conducted by NGOs in over 2,000 AWCs clearly indicate that the Supreme Court orders were not being followed in their entirety. ," she said. A majority of AWCs did not have water supply, toilets, play material etc
