Commits suicide

A chef committed suicide by jumping in front of a running train between Arts College and Sitaphalmandi railway stations on Tuesday. B. Shankar (45), a resident of Railway Quarters in Sitaphalmandi, ended his life after a quarrel with his wife over a domestic issue.

Crushed to death

A milk vendor was crushed under the wheels of a lorry at football stadium in Trimulgherry on Monday. The deceased has been identified as B. Lakshmaiah (50) of Vinayak Nagar, the police said.

Woman ends life

Twenty-six-year-old Shobarani hanged herself to death at her house at IDPL Colony in Balanagar on Monday. The police recovered a suicide note in which she alleged harassment by a person named Mallesh .

Electrocuted

A 28-year-old man was electrocuted at a shop in Malakpet on Monday night. According to the police, K. Ramakrishna, an electrician and resident of Uppuguda, was attending to some repairs when he came in contact with high-tension wires and suffered serious burns.
