HYDERABAD: The City Police on Tuesday solved the mystery behind the murder of auto-rickshaw driver Mohd. Azhar, missing for the past five months, with the arrest of three persons. The arrested were, a warder of the Chanchalguda prison, Kommulu, his alleged lover Bhagyamma and their companion Chandraiah. Hailing from Mahbubnagar district, Bhagyamma got involved in a relationship with a Azhar, 30, of Chatrinaka a year ago, Falaknuma ACP B. Ramavadhani told reporters. The woman used to go to Dabeerpura labour `adda' looking out for work. "There, she got friendly with the warder," the ACP explained. On learning about Bhagyamma's alleged new relationship, Azhar started harassing her, the ACP said. Bhagyamma hatched a plan to eliminate Azhar and sought the help of the warder and his friend Chandraiah. Five months ago, the trio lured the auto-rickshaw driver to the dilapidated building by offering liquor. When Azhar was drunk, Chandraiah axed him to death. Later, they buried the body in the same house. After trying in vain to trace her missing son, Azhar's mother Afsar Begum moved a local court at Nampally. Based on court directions, police began a hunt for Azhar and picked up his brother-in-law Majid who revealed that Azhar had a relationship with Bhagyamma. Azhar's body was exhumed on Tuesday and samples sent for DNA test to ascertain the victim's identity.
