MLAs' plea to Patil

VIJAYAWADA: Congress leaders in Krishna district on Tuesday submitted a memorandum to Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil, urging him to take to the notice of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh the urgent need to modernise the Krishna Delta.

The memorandum, which was drafted on Kankipadu MLA Devineni Rajasekhar (Nehru)'s letterhead, was signed by Municipal Administration Minister Koneru Ranga Rao, Zilla Parishad chairperson Kukkala Nageswara Rao, MLAs Mandali Buddha Prasad, Chanumolu Venkata Rao and APCC executive member K. Sivaji.
