650 quails seized; two arrested

BANGALORE:
The staff of the CID Forest Cell on Monday arrested two persons and seized from them 650 Indian Quails, which is a protected bird under Schedule IV of the Wild Life Protection Act, 1972. According to Inspector-General of Police (CID Forest Cell) K.S.N. Chikkerur, the two persons were arrested from MICO Layout and Madivala police station limits in the city.
The names of the arrested were given as Rehamathullah (38) of Gurappanaplya and Madhusudhan (39) of Madivala Extension.
Separate cases had been registered against the accused in the MICO Layout and Madivala police stations, Mr. Chikkerur said.
