Mosquito coil starts fire, woman dies

Malkangiri (Orissa): A 30-year-old woman was burnt to death and her husband severely injured when their bed caught fire in the early hours of Wednesday morning, police said.

A burning mosquito repellent coil is suspected to have started the fire. Their mattress started burning when they were sleeping.

Both were brought to the district headquarters hospital here, where the woman, identified as Reenarani Sarangi, died. Her husband was shifted to hospital in Visakhapatnam. - PTI
