Commonwealth meet from today

Commonwealth archery from today

JAMSHEDPUR: With a little less than a month left for the Doha Asian Games, the Indian archery contingent gets a wonderful opportunity to tune up for the big occasion this year-end by excelling in the second Commonwealth archery championship beginning at the J.R.D. Tata Sports Complex here on Thursday.

After having done well in the just concluded Asian circuit meet at Myanmar where the 16-member Indian squad picked up a lot of medals including a few gold medals, the chances of the host doing exceedingly well in the face of competition from Australia, England, South Africa, among others, are bright. — Special Correspondent
