Chief Minister to open career guidance centre tomorrow

ALAPPUZHA: Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan will inaugurate the Career Guidance and Counselling district centre of the Education Department at Government Girls' Higher Secondary School, Kayamkulam, at 11.30 a.m. on Friday, district coordinator of the centre A. Salam said.

Kayamkulam MLA C.K. Sadasivan would preside. Higher Secondary Education director Murugan Asari would present a report, said Mr. Salam. The Chief Minister would release a book `A handbook for career guides,' prepared by the Higher Secondary Directorate. At present, 40 schools in the district had career guidance and counselling centres. Once the district centre was inaugurated, students from other schools would also benefit, said Mr. Salam.
