Protest continues

Bangalore: The protest by members of the KPTCL Vidyuth Vitharana Guttige Karmikara Sangha, Karnataka State committee, entered the third day on Wednesday. Hundreds of shift engineers, operators and helpers have been staging a relay hunger strike in Bellary, Raichur, Belgaum, Kolar, Mangalore and Udupi.

Meanwhile, principal secretary of the sangha K. Somashekhar met Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy on Wednesday and apprised him of the situation.
