Five of burglar gang held
The L.B. Nagar police on Wednesday arrested five members of a gang that burgled 31 houses in the past few months in and around L.B. Nagar.
Stolen gold ornaments weighing 38 tolas were recovered from them.
Youth commits suicide
Reportedly frustrated over his failed love affair, Shyam Sundar Sharma, 18, committed suicide on Wednesday by jumping in front of a running train between Uppuguda and Yakutpura.
Hailing from Uttar Pradesh, the youngster came to city a few months ago.
He fell in love with a girl but the latter's relatives refused the match saying he was jobless. He was living in his friend's room at Moghalpura and was working as labourer .
Found dead
Ashok, 40, an attendar working in the Information and Public Relations department of the Secretariat, was found dead in Shaikpet nala under suspicious circumstances on Wednesday morning.
