Bangalore: The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) threw open the flyover loop from Ananda Rao Circle to Race Course Road here on Wednesday. Work on the Rs. 27-crore Ananda Rao Circle grade separator project began three years ago with the aim of decongesting one of the most crowded road junctions in the city. Vehicles proceeding towards the Vidhana Soudha and Race Course Road, Corporation Circle and Mahatma Gandhi Road use this road. After inaugurating the loop, BDA Commissioner M.K. Shankarlinge Gowda said the final notification for land acquisition for peripheral ring road in north Bangalore would be issued soon. A preliminary notification for land acquisition in south Bangalore would also be issued, he added. The BDA had approved the Comprehensive Development Plan, 2015, and submitted it to the State Government for approval. A decision on formation of layouts would be taken only after the CDP came into force. Work on flyover and grade separator projects on Magadi Road, at Ramamurthynagar and on outer ring road connecting Mysore Road and Magadi Road would be completed as per schedule, he said.
