BANGALORE: The Kalasipalya police have arrested Venkataswamy alias Pedda Gunda said to be the mastermind behind the daylight murder of Suri, alias Suresh and Tony in Kengeri Police Station limits two months ago.

Along with Venkataswamy, the police have arrested Babu (19), Prajwal (19), Murugesha (40), Sonu S. Kumar (19), Ravi (36) and Ashwin (19), who were said to be a part of the 30-member gang that hacked Suri and Tony to death.

A gang had murdered Suri and Tony on September 10.

Raid

The police said that they raided a house in Rajarajeshwari Nagar on the specific information that Venkataswamy along with his accomplice was conspiring to commit dacoity on Tuesday morning.

When the police raided the house, the gang resisted the police.

The police were able to apprehend the accused.

Venkataswamy had reportedly told the police that he had murdered Suri and Tony to retaliate the killings of Machcha alias Manja and Tammaiah of Vijayanagar.
