`Sangh parivar's strategy succeeds'

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: The Janata Party president, Subramanian Swamy, on Thursday said the BJP's "remarkable performance" in the local bodies elections in Uttar Pradesh is due to the sangh parivar's strategy to field clean and educated candidates.

Even Muslim voters abandoned the Congress in Rae Bareli and Amethi constituencies. "Now the UPA government has de facto become a caretaker lame duck government. The sooner this government is pushed out, the better it is for national security," he said in a press release.
