Bangalore: All the 16 State Ministers of the Bharatiya Janata Party led by Deputy Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa are leaving for Mumbai on Friday to attend a three-day workshop on governance. The programme has been organised by the central unit of the BJP to enable party Ministers in all BJP-ruled States to put in a better performance and respond to the aspirations of the people. Mr. Yediyurappa told The Hindu that by any account the BJP Ministers of the State had put in a good performance although there were several areas where there could be improvements. "I have taken pains to prepare a detailed book on what the BJP Ministers in the State have done after the coalition Government headed by Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy was formed in the State." Earlier in the day, senior leaders of the State unit of the BJP met under the leadership of D.V. Sadananda Gowda and discussed the preparations and strategy for the byelection to the Chamundeshwari Assembly constituency. Mr. Gowda briefed the party leaders on the discussions he had with Mr. Kumaraswamy on Wednesday.
