Staff Reporter

`Corruption is anti-national and anti-development'

KOCHI: Continuous efforts are needed to put in place a system to promote transparency to ensure equitable development of the country, said T.Vikram, Superintendent of Police, Anti-Corruption Branch, Central Bureau of Investigation, here on Friday.

He was speaking at the valedictory function of the Vigilance Awareness Week observances at BPCL-Kochi Refinery.

He said that corruption was anti-national, anti-poor and anti-development, referring to the words of former Central Vigilance Commissioner, N. Vittal.

Mr. Vikram urged BPCL employees to heed to the advice of Mahatma Gandhi to recall the face of the poorest man he has met while taking a decision.
