Krish, Welmek teams qualify
VIJAYAWADA: Chennai's Krish Team with 63 points, Welmek Team, Bangalore (51 points), C.V. Rao Team, Visakhapatnam (45 points) and Faria Team, Hyderabad (48 points) made it to the super league of the duplicate event in the 33rd A.P. State bridge championship here on Saturday.
They defeated Kakatiya (Hyd), K.S. Rao (Warangal), Vijayawada Bridge Association and Vinay's Team (Bangalore) in the quarterfinals.
In the pairs event, VC Rao-Faria, V. Ramachandra Rao-Narayana Rao, J.M. Rao-Ch. Appa Rao and B.L. Rao-K.S. Krishna from north-south and Dr. Mohan Rao-V.S.R. Murthy, Vazir Ali Mirza-H. Basha, K. Srinivas-Y.N. Rao, K. Srinivasa Reddy-Arun Deodhar from east-west qualified for the finals.
