HYDERABAD: Telugu cine star Mahesh Babu's tryst with the Andhra Pradesh State Nandi Film awards continues with the young actor picking up the `Best Leading Actor' award for the second time. His portrayal of a hired assassin in `Athadu' has bagged him the award for the year 2005. The awards, which were announced here on Saturday by the Nandi Film Awards Committee chairman and film producer P. Doondeswara Rao, will have Mahesh Babu picking up his fifth Nandi as well, having won three Special Jury awards earlier. While Krishna Vamsi's `Chakram' brought him the Best Director award, Tamil/Telugu heroine Trisha was named the Best Leading Actress.
