Heavy rain likely in coastal T.N.

CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at a many places over coastal Tamil Nadu and at a few places over Kerala. Isolated rainfall occurred over interior Tamil Nadu and coastal Andhra Pradesh. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep, Rayalaseema and north interior Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over Telangana, coastal and south interior Karnataka.

The following stations record heavy rainfall in centimetres:

Coonoor 8, Tiruvarur and Parangipettai 7 each.

Belgaum Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 15 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

Forecast (valid until Monday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places over coastal Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and at a few places over interior Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Lakshadweep and south interior Karnataka. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and coastal Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and north interior Karnataka.

Heavy Rainfall Warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely to occur over Tamil Nadu and Puducherry during next 48 hours.
