THRISSUR: Cherupushpam, Chandanakampara, and GVHSS, Kannur, won the boys and girls basketball titles respectively in the State mini-games here on Saturday. Cherpushpam crushed Don Bosco, Irinjalakuda, 63-30 to win the boys title. GVHSS thrashed Little Flower, Koratty 51-30 to win the girls title. The results: Boys' final: Cherupushpam HSS, Chandanakampara 63 (Surendran 16, V.K. Ajith 14, Aby Sony 12) bt Don Bosco HSS, Irinjalakuda 36 (Arunjun 12, Shebin Shamsudeen 11). Semifinals: Cherpushpa 69 (Aby Sony 22, Linto Abraham 15, Timil George 12) bt G.V. Raja Sports School, Thriuvananthapuram 60 (Dinu P. Thampy 26). Don Bosco 45 (Shebin Shamsudeen 13) bt St. Joseph HSS, Pulincunnu 19. Girls' final: GVHSS, Kannur 36 (Tilna 9) bt Little Flower HSS, Koratty 30 (Griya Susan 12). Semifinal: GVHSS, Kannur 50 (K. Kavitha 15, Tilna 11) bt St. Mary's Pala 48 (Neenumol 19, Jerin A.Joy 13).
