S.N. Vidya Bhavan wins championship

CBSE schools youth fete

THRISSUR: S.N. Vidya Bhavan, Chenthrappinni, on Saturday won the overall championship, scoring 575 points, at the Kerala CBSE Schools Regional Youth Festival held at Bharath Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School at Valappad, near here.

IES Chittilappilly and Nirmal Matha came second and third, scoring 466 and 455 points respectively.

In all, 1,552 students from 18 schools took part in the competitions conducted under 158 categories in the two-day festival.

The following are the results of some of the events (in the order of first, second and third prizes):

Bharathanatyam (Girls): Aparna B. Marar, GD Guruvayoor; Mary Byju, MES Pattambi; Anjali Ajith, IES Chitilappilly;

Mappilapatu (Boys): Nisar P.M. Rajah School Chavakad; Binoy K.K., BVM Valapad; Hafiz Abdul Rahiman, SNVB Chentrappinni;
