3 held for impersonating

NEW DELHI: Three persons allegedly impersonating as CBI officials were arrested at Mandi House here in the early hours of Friday.

The police said the accused intercepted a vehicle near Mandi House in which a field officer with a television news channel was travelling. Claiming that they were CBI officers, they said they wanted to search the vehicle.

When the field officer asked them to produce their identity cards, they tried to flee. The field officer raised an alarm. A police patrol team chased the accused and overpowered them.
